When it comes to pet vacuums, two brands stand out above the rest: Dyson and Bissell. Both brands offer powerful suction and versatile features that make cleaning up after your pet a breeze. But which one is the best choice for you?
Believe it or not, I have personal experience using both of these Vacuums. In my daycare business, we have gone through many, many vacuums. When I first opened I was trying to save money by purchasing the cheapest machine I could find. Well, that experiment cost me a lot. I must have gone through three in the first year.
I would bring my vacuum from home to fill in until I got a new one. My home vacuum is a Dyson, and I've had it for years. It was also doing a good job as a replacement at work. So it finally dawned on me: why not just buy one for the daycare?
A few years after the daycare opened we were approached by a research company that asked if we would take a machine and test it for two weeks and in return, they would give us a free vacuum. I said, of course, anything for a free vacuum. The Vacuum was and still is a Bissell, as of this writing it's still alive.
So, to help you decide, let's take a closer look at what each vacuum has to offer. I'll give you my final thoughts at the end.
Dyson
Dyson vacuums are known for their strong suction power and innovative design. Their cyclonic technology ensures that all dirt and debris are lifted away from surfaces, making them ideal for homes with pets.

【Whole Machine HEPA Filtration】 Whole-machine HEPA filtration ensures that dust is trapped inside the machine and not expelled back into the home. Accessory Including a USB-C Adapter
Bissell
Bissell pet vacuums also boast powerful suction, as well as special pet hair attachments that make removing stubborn hair from carpets and upholstery a breeze. Plus, their compact design makes them easy to store when not in use.

Swivel Steering and Lightweight Design. Powerful cleaning performance without heavy lifting.
One-Touch Easy Empty. Pet hair spools around the tank, so it stays out of filters and off of your hands when you empty the tank.
So what's my honest opinion?
Both machines have their place. The Dyson, in my opinion, is a much better-built Vacuum but that adds to the cost, it's expensive! On the other hand, the Bissell is priced much lower than the Dyson, and to be truthful, if you have one dog and you only vacuum about once a week then spending so much doesn't seem to be worth it. They will both get the job done.
When it comes to which vacuum my staff prefers to use, it's nearly always the Dyson.
So if you have the money and you use your vacuum a lot, my choice would be the Dyson.
